      About 1918 he moved west to Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. In 1921 he was a carpenter in Gravelbourg. No death record has been found.

    Pierre Jules Joanis (1843-1927) worked for more than 50 years in the sawmilling industry on the Ottawa River and in Eastern Ontario. He was a millwright, farmer and leading citizen of Rockland and Clarence Creek.
