In the early 1900s, he was a farmer on Lot 3 Concession 9 in Clarence Township.
About 1910 he moved to Ottawa.
About 1918 he moved west to Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. In 1921 he was a carpenter in Gravelbourg. No death record has been found.

| Depocas dit Joanis, Pierre Jules (1843-1927) and Domithilde Maisonneuve (1843-1913) Pierre Jules Joanis (1843-1927) worked for more than 50 years in the sawmilling industry on the Ottawa River and in Eastern Ontario.
