301 Julia was born on a farm across the Gatineau River from Farrellton. Carroll, Julia (I480)
 
302 Katherine (1890-1968) was a registered nurse and a concert pianist and teacher, and painter. In 1914, she married Guerney Orr, an architect with the civil service in Ottawa. After Guerney died in 1937, she moved to California in 1938 to live with her Aunts Myra Turner Cox and Sarah Turner White, both widows as well. Myra owned a home in Laguna Beach, where Kit practised her painting skills. She loved to paint the boats in the harbor and at Marina Del Mar, several of which survive today. When Myra died in 1954 Kit moved to Tularosa, New Mexico. She was joined there by her sister Ida. Kit lived in Tularosa for about 10 years before moving to Vero Beach, Florida to live near her sister Amy. In her later years she suffered from arthritis and had difficulty playing the piano. 303 Kieran Carroll emigrated from King's County, Ireland with his sister and brother about 1840. His two siblings died in Quebec City soon after disembarkation. His early times in Canada are unknown, but it is assumed that he came to the Farrellton, Quebec area in the early 1840s. He settled in Denholm Township on part of Lots 53 and 54 of Range 1. 304 Laurent is listed as a carpenter in the 1891 Census for the Village of Buckingham. In the 1901 census, Laurent and his family were living in an 8 room house and farming 50 acres on Lot 9 Range 2 in L'Ange Gardien Township. 307 Leonard Doray was a Pilot Officer and Wireless Operator/Air Gunner in the RCAF. He enlisted in Montreal on 21 June 1941 and received his wireless and air gunnery training in Canada in 1941 and 1942 . He passed near the top of his class in both and was commissioned as an officer. He arrived No. 3 Personnel Reception Centre at Bournemouth on 19 June 1942; transferred to No 2 Advanced Flying Unit at Millom, Cumberland on July 25th. On September 1 he transferred to No. 22 Operational Training Unit, part of RAF No. 6 Group, based at Wellesbourne Mountford airport near Stratford on Avon, for training in night bombing prior to becoming operational status. On November 9, 1942, Wellington MkIII HF648 crashed 1 mile SSE of Lighthorne Village just after takeoff from Gaydon airfield. Failure of the starboard engine was the cause. All crew were killed: F/O D B Clements RCAF, F/Sgt C S Boomer RCAF, P/O A A Herbert RCAF, P/O J L Doray RCAF and F/Sgt G W Wilken RCAF. Doray was the wireless operator/air gunner and died of multiple injuries and burns. He was buried on July 13, 1942 at Stratford-on-Avon.

P.O. JOSEPH LEONARD DORAY, 25, who has been officially reported killed on active service overseas, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Doray of 4547 Harvard avenue (Montreal). Born in Pembroke, Ont., he was educated in Montreal, where he worked until enlisting in July, 1941. At school he was active in all forms of athletics. PO. Doray has one brother, Eddy Doray, in the R.C.A. (Reserve Army), and three sisters, Eileen, Irene and Theresa of Montreal.

July 31, 1932 - March 6, 2020

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Lewans on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Lillian is survived by husband of 56 years, George; sons Mark (Lona), Michael (Joan), Jeffrey (Anna), Shawn (Jana); grandsons Bryce, Erik, Brian (Katie), Jordan, Shane, Jeremy and Quintan; step-granddaughter Emily (Colby); great-grandchildren Bennett, Holden and Ella; siblings Blanche, Louise (Joe), Rene (Genny), and Gil (Marj); sisters-in-law Anne, Irma, and Mary (Lorne); brothers-in-law Leo (Joyce), and Alphonse. Predeceased by her parents Lionel and Imelda Joanis; siblings Irene and Jim; sisters in law Evelyn, Gertrude, Marykay and Beth; brothers-in-law Cameron, Dan, Claude, Bernard, Vincent, Edward and Roly. Lillian was born and raised in the farming community of St. Denis, SK. After working for a few years in Saskatoon and Val Marie, she met and married George in 1963. They farmed near Orkney, SK for the next 29 years where they raised their family. In 1992, Lillian and George moved to Regina to work as property managers before retiring in 1999. Lillian had a deep devotion to God and her Catholic faith. She was a good cook who loved to entertain, very involved in her community and church and was a longtime member of the CWL. She had a great sense of humour and told many wonderful, funny stories. Lillian was also a lifelong learner who enjoyed reading immensely, especially anything historical. Mostly, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. PRAYERS will be held at Holy Family Parish, 1021 McCarthy Blvd North, Regina, SK on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marian Centre, 1835 Halifax St, Regina, SK S4P 1T4 or a charity of your choice. 313 Louis (1885-1964) followed George and his father into railroading as a fireman and engineer with Canada Atlantic, Grand Trunk and CNR. Louis lived in Ottawa all his life. He was a violinist and an inventor, with an early version of the automobile automatic transmission to his credit. Louis' wife Laura Dent died in 1918. Their two children predeceased her in 1912 from drowning in the Rideau Canal. Louis remarried Clara Boegel in 1921 and they had 10 children. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Madeleine Kelleher (nee Turner) peacefully at King Nursing Home, Bolton, Ontario, in her 100th year of life on September 5, 2016.†Madeleine was the beloved wife of the late Robert Kelleher, loving mother to Geoffrey (SueAnn) of South Bend, Indiana, Charlotte of Vineland, Lin (Jackie) of Saskatoon, Angela (Art) of Guelph, Celine (Marc) of St. Catharines, Basil (Diane) of Kitchener and Stan (Sylvia) of Melancthon.†Madeleine was a cherished Nana to 29 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.†She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at King Nursing Home for their tender loving care of our Mother throughout the past 5 years.

Marjory M. Waters, 82, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006. She was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to John and Frances Turner McGillivray. Mrs. Waters was the vice president at Stamford Design Company in Darien, Conn. She moved to the Port Charlotte area in 1983. Mrs. Waters was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda, Fla., where she was an elder and deaconess. She also was a member of the Lakewood Village Association and the former Punta Gorda Country Club. Mrs. Waters is survived by her loving daughters, Dr. Frances (Joseph) Griffis of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Dr. Susan (Neil) Richards of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; six grandchildren, James O'Daniel, Catherine O'Daniel, Nancy (Mike) Zimmer, Sharon (Jason Fearon) O'Daniel, David Richards and Michael Richards; two great-grandchildren, Burke and Marjorie Zimmer; and brother-in-law, Charles Derrick of Port Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A.R. Waters, who passed away March 28, 2005. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda. The family suggests memorial donations be made to First Presbyterian Church of Punta Gorda, New Sanctuary Fund, 25250 Airport Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 Arrangements are by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Cremation Services and Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Punta Gorda.

347 Michael and Ellen settled on a farm at the junction of Priest's Creek and the Lièvre River, opposite Notre Dame de la Salette. All their children were born on the farm. In 1901 they were living in a 4 room house and farmed 100 acres on the east part of Lot 12 Range 4 in Portland West Township.

Information from Helen Binette-Desjardins on Wednesday, July 10, 1974 via Evelyn Burke:
-Michael had red hair
-the farm in la Salette was sold to a Hart family between 1905 and 1920
-the cost of Michael's burial was $14 - Moise Binette contributed $7 and his son Jim McClements paid the other $7
-he was buried with the unbaptized children and had a wooden cross which could not be found in the late 1970s.
-his daughter May (wife of Moise Binette) received word of her father's death only one week later; it was winter and the roads were closed; Moise was working in a shanty at the time.

349 Michael Lynch may have been related to Sarah (Sally) Lynch McClements. A Michael Lynch was godfather to Patrick and Sarah McClements' first child in 1836.

Michael was one of the early settlers in the Buckingham area. He is mentioned in Lapointe's history of Buckingham as being a resident there in 1826. In the official land records, on July 9, 1827, he was granted a location ticket for 200 acres on the south half of lots 12 and 13 of range 7 in Buckingham Township, just north of Buckingham Village. He received his deed in April 1832.

Lynch's land bordered the Lièvre River about a mile west of the McClements farm in the same Range. No other Lynch/McClements' links have been determined.
